Brian’s entrepreneurial journey had an unlikely beginning.
While working as a volunteer at a university in the mountains of rural Haiti, he was asked to build a website for the school.
With no knowledge of website design (and no electricity, let alone internet access, at home), Brian set about learning HTML by candlelight in the evenings, and practicing at an internet cafe during the daytime.
Within just 3 months of building his first rudimentary website, it became a PageRank 5 website, attracting over 1,500 visitors per month.
Brian’s first foray into marketing came the next year, when he was living on a student’s stipend in the neighboring Dominican Republic.� Brian needed $2,000 for a plane ticket to visit Northern Uganda, which spurred him into action.� He became a freelance ghostwriter, starting out at just $0.04 per word.
Brian’s talent for storytelling led him to direct response copywriting, and he quickly became a sought-after and highly-paid copywriter to the world’s leading information marketers.
Brian leveraged this success and invaluable experience by creating his own information products and services, generating over $30,000 in sales his first full month in business as an information publisher. Today, Brian is known as a world-renowned direct response copywriter and information marketing strategist.
